Mashed potatoes

Anyone have a really YUMMY recipe?

I am never impressed with the ones I make.

I have been chosen to make them for Thanksgiving.

Help!

In my family the mashed potatoes are a MUST and if they aren't good I will hear about it.

I use red potatoes with skin on...cut off any yucky stuff. Then I mash them with sour cream, butter, and garlic! They are so thick and yummers!!

mike's mom makes great ones and it's a simple recipe:

red potatoes - peeled
whole milk
real butter

then she whips them with a mixer till they are sooo smooth.
yum, can't wait!!!

My Mom always added mayo, so I have always made them that way, butter/mayo/milk to thickness you desire.
