Hello LIGHTS

I recently got the opportunity to try out some of Sylvania SuperSaver Halogen light bulbs.
THEY ARE BRIGHT!!

Here are some cool facts:

*They are made in the US!!!
*Fully dimmable unlike the new CFLS
*Uses 22-33% less energy than incandescent light bulbs
*No Mercury
*Instant ON (no waiting for CFL's to warm up)

When I was opening the package and it said 43 Watt-I was confused...Id never heard of that before...but it is using less energy than the 65 Watt but using less energy...they were so bright we couldn't use 3 of these in out bathroom fixture without needing sunglasses...seriously.

I am definitely sold on the amount of light these babies put out, but not sure we will see an energy savings unless we switched the whole house to these kind of light bulbs.

We are impressed that they can be dimmed and would love to replace the ones in our basement and try these out, we end up having to unscrew the CFL's down there when watching a movie since there is too much light-since we forgot we couldn't dim CFL's but installed a 6 dimmable can lights=(

Check em out!

Dreary inside and out

It is another dreary, rainy Spring day. But I am most thankful that is isn't a dreary snowy day...=)
We had a terrible thunderstorm last night, all I keep thinking was YEAH it isn't a snow storm, as it kept waking me up (and if there is anyone out there that has dealt with a kid that is terrified of thunderstorms...let's talk!...the 9 year old not the 5 year old, he didn't even know there was a storm).

The dreariness has invaded the inside of my house as well. I think sinus issues are invading my nose again, as I have a very tender throat, ick. I'm tired since I finally have a day of nothing after 4 days of non stop stuff, I'm dragging today. So much to do, and no interest in doing anything. Maybe I deserve a Starbucks run...it's been a LONG time!

Or maybe I can sit in bed with my laptop, make my coupon match up lists, catch up on my bible study video and homework, write on my neglected blog, play some Farmville, and go through my inbox...yep...maybe that is what Ill do!

I'm allowed aren't I??

AHHHHH

Another beautiful Spring day here in Ohio. It's gotta be 60 something, haven't looked though. I just got back form a 30 minute brisk walk, it felt so good. As soon as I'm done here I'm going to go upstairs and work on the Ab Lounger and do some arm weights as well. I feel so accomplished today. Ive got so much done, that happens when you don't run errands everyday! Tomorrow I get to go on a field trip with Ethan and his class...so excited, since I have never been there!

I really feel so good right now I could jump up and down. I recently started taking a supplement my friend is selling and has been taking for some months now. It helps with a lot of different stuff, like anti inflamation, helps cardiovascular health, helps to maintain good blood glucose and cholesterol, and it is a goodjoint supplements as well. Ive been on it a bit over a week and have had much better energy levels, and less joint pain (which comes and goes anyway, so we will see how it helps long term).

Better go finish my workout before my heart rate goes back to normal.
Ta Ta for now!

this or that?

If you are a women you have probably thought about this before...
Diamonds or other than diamonds??

When Josh an I got married I was 19, he was 21 and we had a 4 month old daughter, so needless to say my ring was nothing huge or special, it was actually the diamond out of my aunts old wedding ring...Im thankful, don't get me wrong, it is very pretty, a small pear shaped diamond (my favorite shaped ring)...

Anyway, our 10 year is coming up and some women would definitely pick a new ring over a vacation, but for me it is an easy choice...MEMORIES are worth way more!

lots of computers

We are blessed to have a desktop PC and 2 laptops in our house. But this PC I use since it is most convenient, is so SLOW, I need some more computer memory, as well as many other upgrades. I mean, how am I supposed to play Farmville with a slow computer? It seriously takes forever to load, and then if someone messages me while I am on Facebook, it freezes for a few minutes...UGH, the life of a Farmville addict;) I'm not that bad, or maybe I am, but as soon as Summer comes I am sure Ill have better things to do!

I love Farms

What a full day. Today was a nice day without much on the agenda. Caught up on some laundry, played some Farmville, payed/organized the bills, played some Farmville, cleaned out both freezers, played some Farmville, did some errands, played some Farmville, showered, picked kids up from school and met a blogger friend for FREE ice cream at ColdStone creamery (our birthdays are very close), came home a cooked some yummy stuff for dinner and and now playing Farmville again, while my hubby plays his new game...Final Fantasy 13 (for XBOX 360, finally) we used to play the first ones YEARS ago when we first met on Playstation.

Im not obsessed or anything I just like Farms, I really want a real one in real life, so a fake one will have to do=) Im sure Ill get bored with it soon.

We have been praying about what to do is the job/business area of our life. Are we supposed to be business owners anymore? Should Josh look for other employment? What to do what to do.
A customer we have had in the past called today for a estimate...and the funny thing is a few years ago they had some substantial work done and wanted to pay by credit card, so we sought out a credit card processingcompany so we could take their credit card, We thought it be good to offer our customers anyway so we kept it, for 2 years or so, paying a monthly fee, and we decided to get rid of it last month since only 2 customers have ever used a credit card, and now they want more work done....go figure...haha=)

That was my day. Off to bed, Im sleepy. Night!
Oh and I decided on my birthday dinner/dessert for our Friday night family dinner.
Cream Chicken (creamy gravy, chicken and veggies over biscuits) and Strawberry shortcake!!!
Can't wait.

rethinnking....

When we bought this house, a little over a year ago (I cannot believe this!), it was wired for a home alarm system. We thought about getting it activated, and then we called around and found that it wasn't as cheap as we thought. We decided to hold off on getting it activated. But while doing the painting and stuff we have been doing, there are sensors everywhere...windows, walls, hallways...you'd think we lived in a bad area (which we do not)...it has caused much more work in patching everything up...so I was wondering if maybe we should just get it reactivated??

Do you have any home security systems??
Do you see a big discount on your insurance?

Just curious!
