The weekend is OVER

UPDATE: www.iknowiamnotalone.blogspot.com has a new post!

The weekend is over and now I am back to having only 2 kids. (confirmation: I am a 2 kid person...no more). I was glad to help out by watching them but, but without Josh here for 2 days really stunk.

My hubby is home and safe and happy! He got his time away and had a fun little adventure! Back to work for him.

I have a ton to do this week. I have been slacking lately. I am thinking of doing a Workin' it Wednesday list this week. Maybe you can join me??

I will post the challenge on Tuesday night, so check back!

I really miss my camera=( I love posting pictures. I had the cutest thing to take a picture of today, but no camera=(

I walked out the side door and Ethan is in his wagon with 3 dump trucks piled on his lap, Merci tied her jump rope from her bike to the wagon handle and was pulling him. How cute is that??

Have a great day!

Real Estate

Do you happen to be looking for a real estate broker? When it the time comes to buy or sell a house I am sure it must be hard to find a great agent. I think I would have a hard time finding someone I could trust. The first place I would look was to my friends. When it comes to buying a house I am clueless, I have never done it and so I will need a lot of advice and insight. I am sure all will go smoothly when this transition comes for us.

Weekends and Facebook

It seems in this blogging land people disappear for the weekend. The hit counts go way down, there are no new posts to read. It is boring. Saturdays are like no other day for me. My hubby works, most of the time and I am here at home with the kids. I suppose everyone else is out having a nice family time, and here I sit in the house. When the weekend comes I am so excited, yet I don't know why. Because here I sit like any other day.

My husband is white water rafting right now, and I sit here anxious, waiting for his call to say they had a a great time and no one is hurt. Hurry up bedtime, come, so my hubby will be home!

I joined Facebook today. How fun. I never knew what it was. Just another thing to be addicted to. Oh well. I need socialization right! If you want to be my friend let me know!

faucet

I hate my sinks. No really...we have those old porcelain sinks that are ridiculously hard to keep clean. If your plate rubs on it it leaves this gray line, if your silverware hit it it leaves a gray line. I have to scrub with comet at least every other day to keep it white. Believe me there are times when the whole sink is gray before I scrub it. I hate my sinks. My tub is the same way, and there are only certain cleaner I can use on it or it stains the porcelain a rust color. PAIN IN THE BUTT I tell ya. When we finally replace the sinks I will defiantly be buying a Delta faucets to go with it!

Home

Who wouldn't want a luxury home?
I know I would! We are still renting, so our next step would be to get a small affordable home. You have heard me talk about this before, but hopefully in the next year or so this will be a reality, and hey maybe we can start out with something better than a cheap first home! Only time will tell. it is all in God's hands, so I am wiling to wait!

Friday Night Boredom

So here I sit on a Friday night bored.

My hubby went with a bunch of guys from church on a White Water Rafting trip. Which is great I am glad he is out having fun he deserves it!

I am here with my 2 kids plus my brother and sister in law (10 & 11). So for most of today and all of tomorrow it is me and a bunch of kids. I have nothing to look forward to=( The kids are keeping each other occupied, but what do I do?

I miss my hubby and am sad without him. He is the light of my life (sappy..YES, but I love him like crazy). We have been getting along great and enjoying each other much. With him gone part of me is gone too.

I could clean, but I do that all day. I have a book I want to read, but there is not quite place I can go. So here I am on the computer, but I am always here and it is loosing it's appeal. Not to mention nobody commented on my last post so I am not sure anyone reads anymore...Are you there?? Nobody has a camera they like?? Well let me know you are all out there. Hope your Friday night is more exciting than mine.

camera questions

I really need a new camera. There is a possibility I will get my old one fixed but we will see how much they tell me it is. We went and bought one on Sunday that was supposed to be nice, but I instantly disliked it, not sure why. Oh yeah, maybe because it was SO slow and it just felt cheap.

So if you have a camera that you love, let me know what it is and why! I am not into the big ones, I was thinking about it, but I want something convenient, just to capture my kids. My photos don't have to be top of the line, just nice enough to scrap!(The old boring way, until I have time to learn the digi way) And the camera need to be semi fast, I get really ticked at slow ones!

Some give me some input, Please!

again

Here is another post about drug rehabilitation. I am not sure why I always get these ones, but who knows. Maybe this will help someone out there. If you or a loved one needs some help with drugs or alcohol, or even prescription drug addiction. Let them know help is out there. They will be able to lead a much better life once they get the help they need.

A manly thing

I fyou are married I am sure your husband at some point has mentioned having a home theater system. Why do they always want to decorate our living rooms with their gaudy electronics?? My husband got a surround sound system for his birthday this year and I made him put the wires down through the walls which equaled a lot more work, but it looks so much better. I still am not so keen on all the speakers sitting on top of my entertainment system, but oh well. A man's gotta have what a man's gotta have..I guess!

Great Gift Idea

I am sure most of you have noticed the new digital picture frames popping up everywhere. As soon as I saw them I knew I would have to get one! I haven't yet, but I did get to play with one. A few months ago my Aunt and Uncle took my Grandma on a trip to Spain. A few weeks ago when I was at my Grandma's house she showed me this "thing" my aunt got her. It was a digital frame and I had so much fun watching the pictures slide-show. What a fun way to keep the memories alive for my grandma. It also gives us, the rest of the family a fun way to show her our pictures. We just got from vacation with her, so I want to take my memory card over there and add some Michigan pictures for her!

It has probably been around for awhile, but I just saw one that also has a built in MP3 player so you can put your songs to music!! Honey, if you ever read this...here is a good gift idea...win...wink.
(Too bad he never reads this...LOL)

Goodbye!

Last night we had a few couple over to say goodbye to our good friends Mike and Amy. Mike lead a home group for some guys for the past 3-4 years, so we invited all the guys and there significant others over. We cooked some burgers, chatted and played some Pounce and Soduko. It was a lot of fun.

We got to spend the last night with them. They are now on there way to their new home about 3.5 hours away. We are all sad to see them go but Mike has got a great job and they can now start living their dreams of having a family. We love you and will miss you guys!!

Hope everything goes well!

Tonight we have a gathering at church and I have to do the centerpieces today, and tomorrow Josh,Merci and I will be heading to a local amusement park with our home group! Can't wait.

Golf

Does your hubby like to golf? Mine doesn't but my dad and brothers do. Ping Golf is one of the leading manufactures of golf clubs, and also quite expensive, but supposedly they are worth it. Golf clubs are always a great gift idea. We just bought my dad a set for his birthday. Maybe one day I will get him a really nice set. And then maybe he won't complain about how he stinks!

One of our favorite stores to buy T-shirts is Steve and Barry's. My hubby loves those shirts with funny sayings.

There is one we almost bought my dad, it had a hole and green on it and some golf clubs and it says: I hit two balls today....I stepped on a rake...LOL!!

Lots of you

I am sure many of you out there reading this blog have student loans, or maybe your husband does. I DO. I only attended Baldwin Wallace for one semester, 7 years ago, and still have a bit to pay back. I got to defer it for awhile and now I don't have to pay because I am going back to school. I am sure there are many of you who will be paying for quite awhile.

Have you ever thought about a school loan consolidation?

It is easy to do online. It is free, so why not see if you can save yourself some money!

Our Vacation Montage!!

Favorites

Our best catch

Cutie on the beach!

I am going to try to figure out how to do a slide show on One True Media and post it later!
Should be fun.

promo

Since my husband and I just started a business we are always looking for promotional ideas. We have got stuff in the mail for pens, signs...but here I found personalized cups.

I was thinking this might be a cool idea. First we have to get some magnetic signs for our trucks and some yard signs for when the guys are working on a specific house, so passer bys will know who is working. You would be surprised at how many people driving by will stop to inquire about our services.

Fireworks and Food stamps

Funny title huh?

Well my story behind it is this:

I live in the city, not the inter city, but the city. The city I live in is the one of the top 40 biggest cities in the world. My neighborhood is ok. Just ok. Not the best but definitely not the worst. We have great neighbors and rarely have issues with them. The 4th of July is the exception to the rule, and we have learned to live with it! We actually enjoy it now!

You see we don't go to the park for fireworks, we go to our front yard. We have people to the left and right and front and back that shoot off more fireworks than the park does. I do miss the beauty of the park ones, but being at home is just more convenient with small kids. I took some videos and pictures so you could see the ghetto-ness that goes on around here, but Josh took the camera with him today=( and mine is so broke=( Oh well.

So where does food stamps come from...well...I always joke that the people around here are on food stamps just so they can afford all the fireworks for the 4th of July!

And just so you know... I won't be around much in the next week or so. VACATION here we come=)
