Ethan's Room complete

Before: Purple Room

During: Thinking it may be too bright

After: We love it!
He isn;t spoiled or anything is he??

We need to do something with the armoire, but for now it will do.
Even the purple carpet doesn't look too bad right now.
It will stay.

My Lil Guy

Saturday morning my little rooster was up bright and early and we tried to get him back to sleep, but I am sure you know the out come of that....

E: I just laid in my bed with my eyes open

Then the girl was up, and we had no chance of a quiet morning.
We did however lay around for about and hour, they'd go play for 10 minutes and then be back crawling all over us. We like to lay in bed and fool around with the kids when we have nothing else to do. Josh was playing keep away from E with the beloved sword (I will post about this soon...hopefully), and E just couldn't get it, but was a good sport and cracking up as he tried.
What came out of his mouth was one of the most hilarious things I have heard from him yet...

E: This is the hard level....ROFL.

E loves to play/watch video games with daddy and often refers to himself as Zelda while carting around beloved sword all day long in his shirt...so this was just stinking adorable...this is the hard level, I love it!

Bragging Rights part 2

A project Josh did last week:

Entertainment unit before (not a good pic but the only one I could find)

And entertainment unit after (yep same one!), to fit NEW TV

And Another project:

Just a normal cute little table, we've had for awhile
(sorry slipcovers being washed UGLY couch in back ground)

Josh fabricated it to open up on hinges, and he put a bottom on it and now it hides all the remotes!

Is he AWESOME or what??

And the dishwasher is here! Just can't use it right now...it is a portable one, but won't fit our faucet so Josh might run water hoses from basement to the dishwasher and then it doesn't have to be portable! We will see. And do you see the orange towels?? That is what color my kitchen will be...someday!

3 ngihts

We have had a deal with Ethan for quite sometime, that if he had 3 dry nights
(yep, still in diapers at night), that we would take him to Chuck E Cheese.

He finally did it, so Fri night we had some fun!
And Friday night he wet his diaper ::sigh::

Next 3 dry nights in a row=ice cream...yummy...mommy can't wait.

I love his face here!
It was a roller coaster simulation.

sick

I am kinda sick of hearing about all these wonder diet pills, fad diets, wonder food etc.

Seriously America get off your butts, quick going to McD's and go to the gym...
Actually I know it isn't that easy, but people know that these wonder drugs don't really work (maybe for 1/1000, but that is like nothing anyway.)

There are things we people that need to loose weight need to do, a silly pill isn't gonna help, and if it does it won't be a long term thing.

Lifestyle choices that's what will help.

So forget Alli and Ephedrasil hardcore, and Acai berry. They might do something, but it won't cure your problems.

My Dirty Little Secret;)

I am sure you are dying to know what it is....

Well, I have more than 1, so I will tell you only one of them....

I want to be a famous blogger. I do. I want to make money on my blog, I want to go to blog conventions and be sponsored.

It's like this underground world and I want to be part of it.

But gosh does it take time, and talent, and good ideas, and interesting topics....You know.

I want to be a blogger about frugal stuff like Deal Seeking Mom, $5 Dinners etc. (This is a whole other underground world, frugal bloggers!!)

I want people to know my by my blog like, "Oh yeah Blessings of Love had this on her blog yesterday etc....

It be fun, for awhile, and then companies would pay me to advertise for them, and I could afford stuff like conversion rate optimization to make my blog even better, and then I'd be famous!!!

Well maybe I just like being Donna to a handful of you;)

Bragging rights

I wanted to brag on my husband a bit.
He has done SO MUCH, since we moved in.
He makes whatever I mention I might want.

I LOVE how handy he is and the fact that what he makes comes out so much better than I thought it would!

We have HUGE lack of counter and cupboard space, well usable cupboard space, that I can reach without a ladder...LOL.

We have very deep cupboards, which is good but causes much more rearranging and digging than preferable to get at stuff.

I had mentioned I wanted slide out things on my bottom cupboards, we were looking at Lowes but they were either cheap or really expensive, so he MADE me some.

Just like that!
I mentioned it as a future purchase/project.

So here you have his handiwork, Oh and I have a few more projects to show off as I remember to take pictures, and I still have to show the finalized kids rooms.

Trying

*to get back into blogging normally. Been missing documenting certain things.

*to not complain, but to take it as a learning moment
(like wood floors make cat hair float ALL over, never had hair problems with carpet, and ceramic tile is slippery, and since it is white, I really miss by ugly brown linoleum floors)

*to remember I don't like moving

*to be ok, with chaos for awhile

*to appreciate the life and stuff I have

*to make time

30...thirty...30

My wonderful husband turned 30 yesterday!
I have a little over 2 more years until I am 30, and I am sure it won't be so bad!
Didn't do much, he worked around the house, we went to 2 different Home Depots and also to Lowes, which made him happy! We also went out to a nice restaurant for dinner.
A nice casual day.

I made him his favorite, Peanut Butter cookies, today.

He got his house by 30 and hopefully he will have a car to buy performance parts for by his 50th=)

Happy Birthday LOVE.

Feeling better

In the midst of moving and packing I hurt my shoulder. The chiropractor said it was probably an injury in the rotator cuff. I have been in so much pain, and barely able to use my arm (my Right one of course). I still used it and was in very bad pain for days, which lead to breakdowns and a no unpacking getting done. NOT FUN. I am actually feeling much better today and will see the chiropractor again tonight, hopefully, if the weather doesn't get worse (we drive an hour to see this guy). I should be on track to get this house up and running next week.

So what I am trying to say is we are here in our new house, it is a mess, I am frustrated, and I am wondering how long it takes to feel like this is our home and not some strange place?

And when will all this snow go away?????

So much work

I have been looking forward to moving for YEARS.
I would not have, if I'd realized all the work involved.
Last time we moved we'd only been in an apartment a year, so the amount of STUFF was minimal.

I am so exhausted, packing, painting, cleaning (here and there), keeping kids occupied since they are on Winter break, and so many, many other things. UGH.
I am excited because the scale is doing things I like, since I am up and going, going and not stopping, and forgetting to eat in there too.

I know the reward will be great when we are in OUR home all cozy and happy.

Until then there are so many things to finish, like finishing painting Ethan's new room, cleaning good at the new house (been empty for 2 years), painting a few other rooms, figuring out what we are gonna do in the bathroom (pink everywhere, ick), putting more cabinets/storage in the kitchen, buying a new dryer (we only own the washer that we have, the dryer was here when we moved), looking for new indoor lighting (all fixture and ceiling fans have gotta go).

I know all this will come in time, I am just one with too much patience=)

Hopefully I will post picture of the progress in Ethan's room.
It is looking great, but it sure is BRIGHT.

Talk to you all soon=)
