Help with bed wetting???

I know every where I read says you really can't teach you child how to stay dry at night.
But I thought maybe some of you would have some advice??

Ethan is 4 and is still in disposable diapers at night, he is once in awhile dry, he is mostly wet and sometime he pee's through his diaper.

We made a deal with him that if he stayed dry 3 nights in a row we'd go to Chuck E Cheese.
We tell him it is ok to wake us up if he has to go at night. We even tried to wake him up and take him last night, but he wouldn't go.

Now if you know me or my family we have the smallest bladders in the world. Seriously I wake up at least 1 time a night to go. Traveling is a nightmare for me. Me my brothers and dad make fun of ourselves all the time.

So any advice?? Did you do something to make it happen or did it just happen??
It just happened for Merci!

I think it just kind of happens for most kids. It only took Wesley a few months to stop needing a pull up, but I think it's going to take Lani much longer. She wakes up SOAKING wet every morning.

I've heard that is has to do with a hormone. If that hormone has not been released in their brain yet, then no amount of training will help. Rowan has trouble too, but he's still only 3.

Gavin slept in a pullup until he was 5. His pediatrician said that for some kids bedwetting could last until they were 6. He is not allowed to drink anything past 7pm and I make him go to the bathroom immediately before bed.
