I remember complaining to my mom about my name. I wanted Angela, because that was my best friend's name. So my mom said, OK. All of a sudden, I realized I didn't want to change my name. Reverse psychology at its best!
She is so funny:) I always used to change my name when I was younger. In highschool I added an 'e' to the end of Lynn, my middle name. I thought it looked more fun. LOL! What a dork!!
Haha...that's too funny. I had a student once whose name was Deidre, but she insisted that she was going to be called Renee that year...and she did. It wasn't her first or middle name, but we called her Renee all year.

That reminds me...in 1986 (I was 6) I told everybody I knew that my first-born son would be named "Eric" because it was simply the best name ever.
Thankfully I had no children to name in 1986.
