ETHAN'S EYES
Hello everybody. Well Ethan had his follow up eye doctor visit today. His vision IS the same as last time which means he will need glasses. His vision is +6.5 +3.5, so as you can see there is a BIG difference between eyes. Basically he has a lazy eye, one that has not learned to see correctly. If we don't correct his vision with glasses the lazy eye has a great chance of getting even lazier, since he isn't using it to focus on things. So keep him in your prayers. I think we will go get a second opinion. This eye doctor was great!! Very highly recommended, but just to be at ease I would like to see. I guess glasses aren't horrible, God is bigger than this but, he can correct them in his time and until then is it wrong to get him glasss so he can see?? HELP??

my personal opinion: if it were my child, I would get a second opinion... if they say the same thing I would go ahead and get the glasses.
My mom had the same thing when she was a kid and she got her rhinestone cat eyed glasses at the age of 2 and then later on she got laservision and all she does now is complain about missing her glasses, but that's because she's a crazy lady. The moral of the story, if Ethan needs glasses after the 2nd opinion go ahead and get the glasses, but also know that Danielle Dorow who had glasses since she was a kid was healed and no longer needs glasses.
sweet! i DID not know that about danielle dorow!! i DID know that seth robinson and i have prayed a couple times b/c he has total faith that God is going to heal him so he doesn't need glasses either! he thinks its gonna happen on the mission trip. also chel antonczak from ihop was healed and doesn't need glasses. I say pray about it and ask the Lord to give you faith for what to do. God is obviously already working on little Ethan - i do not call that "possible tumor" going away a coincidence.
