It is 10:25 am as I sit here and type this. Kids are off school today, and luckily are old enough to know how to turn on the TV because I needed my beauty rest today (I wouldn't wan any dark under eye circles would I ??)
Anyone know any remedies for this...in the last few years I have developed this and never before had I dealt with those nasty circles.
We had a busy weekend of late nights and lots of running around. Even the kids slept till about 8:30.
Friday night-we had our family birthday celebration dinner, 2 birthdays in February, my lovely grandma on the 14th and my baby brother TODAY...HE will be 21!! Also Merci slept over a friends house.
Saturday- lazy day, but in the evening we dropped the kids of to my MIL (2 sleepovers in one weekend for Merci) and then went to a dinner at a friends house and then left to go to a lovely friends birthday party at a super cute Martini Bar, a LATE night but so much fun.
Sunday-Josh and I were lazy and stayed in bed way too long, him asleep, me awoken by 2 texts at 8 AM (thanks mom), but it was nice to be leisurely about getting up and ready. I played me some City Life and painted my nails, showered without having to hurry and then we went and had a yummy breakfast at The Original Pancake House...MMMM. Then I went to pick kids up while Josh helped my lil brother move some stuff to his new apartment. Then we came home I made dinner and then headed out to get some great deals on plants at the plant sale after the Home and Flower show was over. (Picture to come!!)
And now it is Monday and I'm a going to relax and be lazy...or take the kids to the Rainforrest ...haven't decided yet.

Weekend Roundup
A busy weekend for sure.
Saturday was Merci's Luau birthday party. We had her friend party and then later in the evening we had our family party. It was a LONG day for sure. Josh worked in the AM so I had to prepare and set up all by myself (E was at my aunts and my brothers girlfriend came for the kids party, both a great help.) I was nice to have a few hours to clean up and sit for a bit. The parties went very good and Merci had much FUN!!

Each girl got to have a PINK coconut cup
(Thank You Target dollar section!!)

I served fruit kabobs as a snack, and luckily my day lilies were in bloom for accents, how PERFECT!!

Cupcakes served at the kid party

Onto SUNDAY.
Sunday was one of our weeks to do Sunday school. And after than I was excited to have nothing to do, and then Josh's friend Pete called to invite us over for a party for his girlfriends daughter, and then my brother called and wanted to meet us at the beach to ride the jet ski's. UGH, forget relaxing. The jet ski date didn't work out so we napped for a few hours and went to Pete's. I was nervous I have never met him and wouldn't know anyone there. It ended up being a great time. There were tons of kids and ones that were age compatible with mine, BONUS.
We played with Rosco the toad and road dirt bikes of all sizes, swam and just really enjoyed the company of the strangers.

AND
I actually kinda had an extended weekend because I got to go out for a girls night with a few friends on MONDAY. We went to The Melting Pot (a fondue restaurant) YUMMY!! It was ladies night so we also got a spa treatment, we all picked the hand paraffin! The we wandered a few stores and then decided to do goofy photo shoots in a public area. We had to keep reminding ourselves how old we were!! Fun times. Oh and while wandering the outdoor shopping we were blessed with a beautiful view of a FULL rainbow (even thought I couldn't capture the whole thing in a picture)

My Weekend
This weekend was a LONG weekend.
Friday
Because of the sweltering weather conditions we decided to take the Sea Doo out for a spin at a nearby beach (one that is less than 5 miles away we never went to because of the cleanliness, but I guess we will be there lots this year). We were there for so long and we all had so much fun!
It is crazy when the sun is going down and it is still HOT out.
Saturday
I had a garage sale, at out annual street sale. It sucked, it was HOT and we spent the whole $15 we made=) The lady across the street sells her yummy Puerto Rican food!!
We then headed to the in-laws to a good bye/birthday party for Josh's brother who is leaving for boot camp. The kids swam and were entertained. Since I was still weak from my sickness this past week, I rested on the couch a lot.
Sunday
We headed to church, ran to pick up a gift, and headed to Pump it Up for a birthday party! Came home and decided to go back tot he beach for some more Sea Doo fun!
That is where the stress began. I wasn't really up for it, a little bit but I would have rather stayed at home and sat on the couch for some down time. Oh well.
If you read my previous post you know we witnessed a drowning, so sad, the man actually didn't make it. It makes it hard when you saw him pulled out of the water with your own eyes. I know I will be a state of panic the rest of the Summer riding the Sea Doo or even swimming.
Right after the incident the overly crowded (record crowds) all decided to clear the beach and within 10 minutes of that a huge storm rolled in so it took forever to get out of the parking
lot and back home. And as Josh was taking the Sea Doo out he gashed his foot...too much stress for one beach trip. (Oh and the Sea Doo is still not working right, to top it off).
So I was glad to have a semi chilled day (not outside). The kids are resting now and I am catching up on bills and blogs!

Sea Doo time
So to finish up my Weekend Round Up
(Yes, I am aware that it is almost the weekend again...where does time go??)
Sunday we headed to the beach, a little bit later than we wanted due to some fixing of the Sea Doo we had to do.
But we did make it and the kids had lots of fun, as well as the adults=)
This Sea Doo goes so much faster than the one we borrowed last year.
It is fun, and riding on Lake Erie compared to a small calm lake in Michigan that we are used to was a whole new experience.
FUN though.

Weekend Roundup part 2
Saturday we woke up ate a big breakfast, and left to go to the African Safari Wildlife Park!
I was so excited about this. I love giraffe's and knew I'd get to see on up close.
Which I did.
We all enjoyed ourselves, well I guess maybe Ethan didn't so much.
He spent most of the time yelling for us to STOP.
When we drove away from the giraffe (which was oh so gentle and sweet) Ethan breathed a sigh of relief and muttered "Ah, safety" LOL
What a cutie.
He did get brave and fed the deer the second time through.
Enjoy a slide show of my favorite pics:

Weekend Roundup
I think I will copy Wendy and do a Weekend round-up series. It was a busy weekend resulting in a lot I want to document!
Friday after Merci got home from school we packed up and headed to the camp ground.
We were pretty hungry since Josh and I forgot to eat because of all the busyness of getting ready.
We stopped at McD's and wondered how much longer until we got to the campground.
To our surprise the camp ground was seriously across the street.
We felt silly for not being able to wait a bit longer to cook some hot dogs or something.
Oh well.
We had fun, the kids were surprised that their aunt (only 4 years older than Merci) and uncles (11, 16, & 17) were there and immediately got to driving us crazy.
We started the nightly tradition of glow sticks, sparklers and smores!

And this is how close McD's was, this is from our camp site:

We were really roughing it with this so close and WiFi
(even though I contained myself and didn't bring the laptop)
Don't want to bore you, so stop back the next few days for the rest of the story!

Weekend Roundup
Friday we went out with a bunch of friends for Jason's birthday, we went to Mongolian BBQ
(Great Place!) and then around the corner to LA CAVE DU VIN (The Wine Cave) for a few drinks. The hit of the night was a Raspberry or Cherry Beer! Yummy! They had a huge wall of imported beer, micro brew beer and any kind you can think of, oh yeah and lots of wine!
Saturday we got to sleep in since both kids were sleeping over someone's house. After we picked E up we can home and made breakfast together. It wasn't long before sleep deprived parents and son needed a nice 3 hour nap. Merci was still with my aunt. We then spent some time together had dinner and went back to sleep for the night.
Sunday we had brunch with some people who we haven't seen in awhile and discussed a Radiant Church, we then took E to get his stitches out, we went to the Nature Center, We went to Bob Evan for lunch (thanks Gma) and then went to our homegroup, we got home in time to go to bed! LONG DAY! LONG WEEKEND!

I just wanted to hug this little fox.

This shirt is NOT flattering to my stomach, it is not that big!
